My English Reflection Journal

On wednesday, 11th of February 2009, we got a new software, its called "Spore". We got to make our own creature with this software. Yesterday, I borrowed a new book, its called "Dragon Moon". The book is 300 pages long! That would be a challenge for me.. Reading all those pages in one week. We also learnt about metaphors. Metaphors are quiet hard. We made our own metaphors and posted them in our blog. We are now using Spellingcity.com. Mrs. T posted our spelling words there. We can go to spelling city and learn our spelling words from there now!

It means..

' Human beings live on one planet. Earth is everyone's home. We should all lend a helping hand and keep our home green and clean. We should care about everything and everyone on earth. Everyone is connected, everything is connected. Everyone is a part of the earth society.'

My Talent

Hello, my name is Amatta. I am 10 years old. I live in Jakarta. For short, I am known as a civilian. 

I live in Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia. There are usually big gardens in every house. Jakarta adores music. There are many music theaters to play concerts and recitals. That is why I adore this city, because this city adores music as much as I do.

Many people in Jakarta like music. Some play the Flute, the Piano or the Violin. I am one of those people. I can play the Piano and the Violin. Some of the music theaters are Erasmus Huisse, Goethe Haus, Gedung Kesenian Jakarta, Balai Kartini and Taman Ismail Mazurki. 

I started playing the Piano when I was 3 and my teacher was Ms. Arga. At first, I thought it would be hard, but after a while, I got used to it. When I was 3 I only learnt about the notes. The competition I recently joined is the "Chopin International Piano Competition" in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I made it to the Finals but didn't win. My favorite composer is Frederic Chopin.

I started playing the Violin since I was 5. My teacher was Mr. Atis. I learnt at Yayasan Musik Jakarta music school. It was really fun learning the Violin. I joined the OSNI orchestra 6 Months later. OSNI is the abbreviation of Orkes Simfoni Nasional Indonesia. I made many new friends. The competition I recently joined is the "Music Fiesta" in Binus School Simprug. I won 1st Prize. 

I really enjoy learning Music!

My Idol

My Idol is Justin Timberlake. Everyone admires him and so do I. He is very famous , everybody in the world knows him. He hosts some tv shows but he is a singer. He is my idol!
